  • Most golf courses only hold corporate days on one day of the week so be flexible.
  • Popular courses book out months in advance
Numbers
  • The very first thing you need to consider is how many people do you expect?
  • A good size field is usually about 60 -100 people.
  • Invite bout 30% more than the number you hope to have as many people will be able to attend
Golf Course
  • Decide on a Golf Course to stage your event
  • The location needs to be accessible to your guests
  • When choosing the course consider the ability of your guests
  • Consider the reputation and playability of the course
  • Your budget will play a major factor in the course selection. Prices vary dramatically from each course
Starting Options
  • Once you have an idea of numbers and the course you are going to play at you need to consider what type of start you will have.
  • The type of start you have will determine how long until your guests finish and how your catering needs to be arranged.
  • Note that some courses will only offer you one option depending on your player numbers.
  • Here is a guide to some of the start formats:
    • Under 50 guests = One tee start
    • 50 to 100 guests = Two tee start
    • 100 + guests = Shotgun start

Catering
  • A game of golf usually takes between 4-5 hours so your guests will need to eat something while they are there.
